Pooh's House at Harvard

On our walk home from school today, we took a slightly different route and stumbled upon this little treat. It was at the foot of a tree just outside the Science Center on the Harvard campus. I think THE Winnie-the-Pooh's house had a sign that said Mr. Sanders, so this is clearly some other Pooh.

I've tried to find out more about who constructed this and what the history is, but have come up empty-handed. It does seem that this Pooh's house has appeared here on and off since around 1996 at least (that's the earliest reference to it I can find).

Someone I know told me his Expository Writing prof saw it there in 1993.

I saw it 1990, when I was a freshman. I've not been able to find out anything about its history either.

Tree doctors had labeled some trees in 1986 to alleviate disease. the label on this tree was P008 and
it was transcribed into the spark of an idea leading to the POOH door. A mystery person maintains the POOH door to this day [ 2011 ]

I know my dad saw it when he was there in 1980s. I think he graduated in 1986.

I recently graduated from HLS - someone still maintains it, after Spring break the red door was gone. In about a month it was replaced by a pretty wooden door, and currently there's a small poster in front of the house saying: 'Reconstruction Sponsored by Eeyore Constructions. Guaranteed to Lose Your Tail'. Awesome :)

Just found the pooh house today. The sign now says "This restoration was funded by Eeyore Investments." It appears Eeyore changed industries.
